Susan B. Shapiro, MS, PCC, launched Onpoint Leadership in 2005 after a global sales and marketing career at Hewlett-Packard. She provides high potential coaching and consulting services to organizations who believe that people are their greatest asset. Susan brings insight into communications, emotional intelligence, and relationship building for collaboration and conflict resolution. Susan helps leaders use their power and influence to lead change in their organizations.
She serves executives many areas: operations, finance, product development, research, engineering, program management, marketing, sales, manufacturing and information technology. Industries include: telecom, technology, aerospace, financial services, medical, retail, healthcare, government. Clients value her straightforward approach and assistance in gaining new perspectives, thinking outside the box and taking risks. They report accelerated growth, increased confidence, more thinking agility and skill in delivering innovative results to their organizations, all while developing their own teams. Her clients are leaders in cross cultural, diverse work environments with complex, global and matrixed organizations. In addition to individual coaching, she facilitates strategic planning, and group coaching.
As HP’s Director of Strategic System Integrators, Susan led teams who successfully created and delivered enterprise solutions to the market with partners such as Accenture, PWC, Deloitte, Oracle and SAP. Her other responsibilities included global program marketing through ten virtual teams. Previously, she ran major account direct sales in North Texas with responsibility for telecommunications and manufacturing accounts. She was a top President’s Club Achiever, and was in Hewlett-Packard’s Accelerated Development Program. Prior to that, she worked as a buyer for Abraham and Straus in Brooklyn, New York.
Shapiro has an MS in Management and Administrative Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she graduated with distinction, and also earned a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. Susan holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coach Federation, (ICF). Her BS degree is in Marketing and Economics from Hofstra University in New York.
She delivers NASA’s 4-D Team and Leadership program, Korn Ferry’s Lominger Voices 360® and Talent Management tool, Winslow Research personality assessment, Thomas- Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, Zenger Folkman 360 degree leader, Leadership Practice Inventory, Work Place Big Five Profile and is an adjunct coach for the Center for Creative Leadership. At the University of Texas at Dallas, she coaches EMBA students. Shapiro is also a member of the DFW Succession Management Group, and is a Past President of the North Texas Chapter of the International Coaching Federation. Susan donates pro-bono coaching to local non-profit leaders at Dallas Independent School District and Stand Beside Them, a program supporting U.S. Veterans.
